We often get asked to visit and meet our puppies. This comes as no surprise with trying to find out about the breeders that you might want to buy a puppy from. The web sites and articles that recommend you to visit the breeder and meet the parents, don't explain the dangers. The problem with these sites and articles is that they think of the buyer and not the health and safety of the puppies or the breeder. Our puppies are raised in our home, therefore we don't have an office or outside buildings for people to visit.
Here are the reasons we don't allow visits:
1) Puppies' immune systems are still developing and are not yet protected by vaccines. Visitors can bring in and carry diseases" parvo virus, canine influenza, Distemper, etc" inadvertently on their shoes, clothing and hands with them not even knowing it. Which can result in the death in the entire litter, or other dogs in our home. This is our biggest concern.
2) The majority of our puppies are reserved before they're born or shortly thereafter, therefore, these babies are not ours to risk. People that email us are strangers. We don't know anything about you other than the fact that you email basic info about yourself and family. Inviting strangers in potentially threatens the safety of our family and dogs.
3) We like to keep our moms stress free. Visitors can panic our mamas and create them to move around franticly. They don't know you and this is their home. More importantly they are protecting their babies. So we don't need to get them anxious.
Thank you for understanding, We do our best to keep up with pictures and videos that we get to add to this site.
